Club Safari México

Peninsula Award

The Peninsula Award, now presented in partnership with Club Safari México, recognizes one of the most unique hunting achievements in North America: harvesting the Red Brocket Deer, Gray Brocket Deer, and the Central American Whitetail through ethical, legal, and conservation-based hunting.

Each bronze sculpture is individually crafted by a renowned Mexican artist and presented annually during the Club Safari México Awards Ceremony in Mexico City.

More than a trophy, it celebrates a hunter's dedication to fair chase, wildlife conservation, and the remarkable diversity of native deer species that inhabit the Yucatán Peninsula.

This rare and prestigious award, symbolized by a limited-edition bronze statue crafted by a rising Mexican artist, celebrates an accomplishment that few have achieved. The Peninsula Deer Slam is a testament to the dedication and skill required to harvest all three deer species that roam the Yucatán jungle.

Conservation, Partnerships & Recognition

In just a few years, Peninsula Hunters has become widely recognized as the leading outfitter for Brocket Deer hunting in Mexico and as a respected reference for ethical hunting throughout the Yucatán Peninsula. Our mission extends beyond guiding exceptional hunts by promoting responsible wildlife management and showcasing the extraordinary diversity of native game species that inhabit the jungles of southeastern Mexico.

We are proud to support the conservation efforts of the Dallas Safari Club (DSC) by donating hunts that are auctioned during its annual convention to help fund wildlife conservation. We are equally honored to support Grand Slam Club Ovis (GSCO) through conservation auction donations and to participate in one of North America's most prestigious hunting conventions. One of the highlights of each convention is celebrating the achievements of our hunters as they receive the distinguished Rex Baker Super 40/50 Award—a recognition earned through years, and often decades, of dedication to pursuing North America's most iconic big game species.

Among the world’s most accomplished hunters, several have come to us in pursuit of the Red Brocket Deer as part of their journey toward two of the most distinguished honors in hunting: the Conklin Award and the Weatherby Award. These honors stand among the highest recognitions a hunter can achieve, celebrating extraordinary accomplishments in the most demanding conditions, together with the highest standards of ethics, fair chase, and conservation. To have hunters of this caliber entrust us with such a demanding chapter of their journey is an extraordinary honor. And because the Red Brocket Deer is regarded as one of the most challenging species to hunt, achieving it carries a significance far beyond the trophy itself.
